MINISTRY: Puerto Rico is still rebuilding after the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma and Maria in 2017. A third of the island has fled to mainland US, leaving many behind who feel abandoned and forgotten. However, church planting is still happening in Puerto Rico in what appears to be a new season of openness to the Gospel. So, encouraging our local pastors and church planters, evangelizing the area around their church plants, and blowing wind into their ongoing ministry efforts is our purpose here. In the mornings, we will engage the community through a combination of light service projects, VBS/DBS, and sports activities. The afternoons will be focused on urban mapping of the area around the church, identifying people of peace in the area, and going house to house to pray over families, share our testimonies, present the Gospel, and in some cases we’ll lead discipleship studies for new believers. We’re praying for a season of mass gospel sowing in Puerto Rico to see many saved and our churches strengthened.
